ndrea Lee is one of the rising stars in the LPGA Tour, highlighted by her first win at the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee won on all levels, not just her college golf experience in the NCAA tournament at Standford University where she earned 9 victories and spent 17 weeks as #1 Women's Amateur of the World. In the wake of winning the Mark H. McCormack Award as the best-ranked Women's Amateur around the globe after the end of the 2019 season Lee decided to go pro. Andrea Lee has made a name in professional golf as an amateur golfer. Here are some things you aren't aware of regarding the American LPGA Tour player. Andrea Lee is a Los Angeles native who was born in August 1998. James began to teach her daughter golf from the age of five. At the age of 8, she started competing in competitions. She took home 50 championships at the age of a junior, in just four years. She made the cut in this year's US Women's Open, held at Pinehurst No. aged 15 with her dad playing as her caddie. She received a sponsors invite to attend the 2015 ANA Inspiration on the LPGA Tour but was unable to make the cut by just one shot. Lee was part of the USA's Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup as well as the Women's World Amateur Team Championship. In the year 2016, she enrolled at Stanford University and became its most decorated sportsperson at the time. Over the next three years, she won nine individual titles. Lee graduated from Stanford University in 2019 and was a professional. Her amateur golf career included 17 weeks at the highest in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee has also been awarded the Mark H. McCormack Award for the year 2019, having finished the season at the top of amateur rankings. Lee's amateur record included four holes in one, and one albatross. Her top-10 finish was two times during her first year playing on the LPGA Tour. She placed T7 in 2020's AIG Women's Open held at Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee took home her first LPGA Tour title at the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee dedicated the win to her great-grandfather Min who passed away in 2012. He was always calling me a winner, and believe that I was a winner. It was an honor to have him as a great-grandfather. I was sure he'd be paying attention. Her previous competitions included tennis, soccer, as well as figure skating. Lee's hobbies besides golf include shopping, movies and even singing. Also, she loves to snowboard.
